Install Line2 on MacOS

Download the app here
- After installation is complete, you can log into the Line2 App with your number and password.
Helpful Hints: Confirm that you have Administrator rights on your computer so that you will be able install Line2 on your device . You must temporarily disable or allow Line2 thru any firewall or anti-virus software
Synch and Add Contacts
Line2 does not maintain a separate set of contacts but will display any contacts that you have listed in your Contacts application. You can manually add contacts or add an account of your choosing to your Contacts app so your contacts will be accessible in the Line2 app.
Sync Contacts
- Go to the System Preferences for Mac
- Next go to Security & Privacy
- Click on the Privacy tab
- On the left go to Contacts
- Check the box(s) next to the Line2.app
Add Contacts
- In the Activity section go to Calls
- Next to the contact you want to add tap the "i"
- Tap on Create New Contact
- Enter the First Name, Last Name and Company (if applicable)
- Click Done
Set Up Audio
Manually Connect Audio
- Make sure the Line2 application is launched
- From the Mac home menu click on Line2
- Go to Preferences
- Then the Audio section
- Confirm that microphone and speaker are set to the correct defaults
Troubleshoot Audio Issues on Line2 for MacOS
If you are experiencing audio issues during your calls, your output device's sample rate may need to be adjusted. Line2's supported rate is 44100.0 Hz
Adjust Audio Rate
- Open /Applications/Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup
- On the left-hand side, select 'Built-in Microphone’ (or the desired device)
- On the right, select the 'Format' drop-down menu
- Set the sample rate to 44100.0 Hz
Troubleshoot App Issues
Uninstall Line2 App for MacOS
If you are encountering any problems with the Line2 application, we recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the application
- Go to Finder
- Click on Applications
- Find the application and drag it to the trash can
- Empty the trash can
Install Line2 App for MacOS
- Go to Line2.com/apps
- Click Download Now
- Download the Mac application .dmg to your downloads folder (or where ever you prefer)
- Click on the application to launch it
- Click & Drag the application into the application folder then close this window
- Launch the application, you may get a prompt that it was downloaded from the internet click Open
- Enter your Line2 number and password
