Call Forwarding controls how incoming Line2 calls are routed. You can choose where calls are sent, create forwarding rules based on schedules, or route calls based on the caller’s phone number.
- Basic Users can manage Call Forwarding settings for their own account only.
- Administrators and Power Users can access other users’ accounts and update their Call Forwarding settings.
Basic Call Forwarding
Basic Call Forwarding allows you to send incoming calls to one or more phone numbers using either sequential or simultaneous ringing.
Dial Sequentially
With sequential dialing, Line2 rings each number in your forwarding list one at a time until the call is answered.
Add numbers to your forwarding list:
- Open Account Manager.
- Select Call Forwarding.
- Click Edit.
- Select Dial Sequentially.
- Click Add Number to List.
- Choose an existing number or select Add New Number.
- Click Save.
Tip: Keep the ring count at 5 or fewer rings. A higher ring count may cause the call to reach voicemail before all forwarding numbers have been attempted.
Dial Simultaneously
With simultaneous dialing, all numbers in your forwarding list ring at the same time. The first person to answer receives the call.
Set up simultaneous dialing:
- Open Account Manager.
- Select Call Forwarding.
- Click Edit.
- Select Dial Simultaneously.
- Click Add Number to List.
- Choose an existing number or select Add New Number.
- Click Save.
- Click on Call Forwarding
- Click Edit
- Choose Dial Simultaneously
- Click Add Number to List
- Select the number you want to add or click add new number
- Click Save

Add Dial Groups to a Forwarding Profile
Dial groups determine the order in which Line2 contacts forwarding numbers.
- Numbers within the same group ring simultaneously.
- Groups are contacted sequentially.
Add numbers to a group:
- Select the numbers you want included in the group.
- Click Add Number to List.
- To create another group, click Add Groups.
- Select the numbers for the new group.
- Click Add Number to List.
- Click Save.

Time-based profiles allow you to route calls differently depending on your business hours or schedule.
Set up a time-based profile:
- Click New Forwarding Profile.
- Enter a profile name.
- Select Make this Forwarding Profile a Time Based Profile.
- Configure the days and times when the profile should be active.

No override is active. Your existing forwarding profiles continue to run.
Active Indefinitely
All incoming calls are forwarded to your selected destination until you turn off the override.
Active Until
Forwarding remains overridden until a specific date and time.
To configure an override:
- Enable Override All Forwarding Profiles.
- Select the destination number.
- Choose whether the override should remain active indefinitely or end at a specific time.
- Save your changes.
