Make a Call
The Quick Dial Box
Located in the top left corner of the app. This handy tool lets you search by contact name or by phone number. Just input the first letters or number and hit enter. Your call will begin dialing.
New Call Button
Click the New Call button at the top of the screen. Once the button is highlighted green, you can dial your number- just like you would on your cellular device.
Helpful Hint: You can add Call Favorites can be added by clicking the star next to your contacts name.
Call History
Navigate to the Activities label on the left hand side of the app
Click on Activities, this will show your call history.
You can easily call a number or contact again by clicking on a previous number you have called.
Receive a Call
Before you are able to start receiving calls with the Line 2 app make sure that you have correctly set up your Call Forwarding.After your Call forwarding is set up, your Line2 app will ring when you receive a call, causing a pop-up window will appear. From there you can answer the call, send it to voicemail or forward it to the next step in your Call Forwarding.
Workaround Tip:
If you are an Administrator User and do not have a Direct Dial number: Adding a Direct Dial Number to an Existing Number , you will first need to set up a Direct Dial number for your account in order to sign into the app.Block a Call
- On the left menu go to Activity
- Click on Calls
- Find the caller you want to block and select them
- Their information will be displayed on the right, click Block
- A box will pop up confirming the block, click Block
- The caller will now be grayed out and have a no symbol to the left of their name/number.
- To unblock follow the same steps as above but click Unblock
Delete a Call
Delete a Single Call
1. Go to the Calls option under Activity
2. Right-Click the call log you want to remove and choose delete
Delete Multiple Calls
1. Select the log you want to delete
2. Press and hold CTRL while selecting each log
3. Right-click then choose delete
If you want to skip a call log, you can press and hold ctrl then click on each option individually.
Delete All Calls
1. Press CTRL + A to select all calls
2. Right-Click then select Delete
Keep in Mind: Once you delete an activity log, it is removed permanently. You will not be prompted once the delete is selected.
On- Call Options
Record:
Click this button if you would like to record your current call.
Helpful Hint: Line2 users have the option of recording all of their calls, this can be done through your Account Manager.
Prerequisite: You must be an Administrator or Power User on your account
Record all Calls: ( Must be done Thru Account Manager)
- Click on Users
- Click Edit on the User you wish to "Edit"
- Click on Additional Features
- Scroll Down to Call Recording
- Press Save and Close
- Please note: Additional charges will incur with this feature.
Mute:
Clicking this button will mute your microphone until you deselect it. You will still be able to hear your caller.
Hold:
Selecting this button will mute your microphone and speakers until it has been deselected. Both caller and receiver will not be able to hear each other if this is selected.
Transfer:
This button allows you to transfer the call to another number. Click the transfer button and type in the number you want to transfer to.
Keypad:
Selecting this will display the on-screen keypad.
Conference:
Allows you to add additional people to the call. Once you click the button, type in the contact name or number and add them to the call. You can add up to 20 people to a conference call.
Merge:
Selecting this will merge your current calls into a conference, this is only available if you have 2 calls already connected.
