Helpful Hints: Confirm that you have Administrator rights on your computer so that you will be able install Line2 on your device . You must temporarily disable or allow Line2 thru any firewall or anti-virus software. You must be a on the starter, business and growth plans to use this application.
You can download the Line2 Windows App here.
Once the app is installed, you can launch the application and log-in using your Line2 number and password. Please make sure you have a microphone connected in order for your app to work.
If you are unsure if your microphone is connect, please follow these steps:
1. Log into your Line2 for Windows App
2. Click on Tools
3. Click on Preferences
4. Click on Audio
5. Confirm that your input and output devices are set to the right default.
Helpful Hint: If you are connected to a wireless device, select the name of that device for bout the input and output device.
What other audio features are available on the Line2 for Windows App?
1.The speaker phone input device allows you to choose between your devices microphone or another microphone that your device may have access to
2. The speaker phone output device allows you to choose between your devices speakers or other speakers your device may have access to.
3.Select Mic Echo helps improve call audio by adjusting the amount of echo from the drop-down menu.
4.The USB audio detection box when checked automatically detects any headset that is plugged into a USB port
5. The select notification device dropdown selects the speaker through which inbound calls will ring by selecting from the available speaker list.
6. Placing in Quiet Mode disables notification sounds for incoming Line2 calls.
If you are experiencing problems, it is recommended that you uninstall and reinstall the app.
Reinstall Windows Line2 App
- Verify that you have administrator rights to the computer.
- Temporarily turn off any firewall or anti-virus software
- Force quit (and) restart the app by doing the following
> > Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete (simultaneously)
> > Select "Task Manager"
> > Under the "Processes" tab, locate Line2.exe
> > Highlight Line2.exe with your left mouse button
> > Select "End Task"
> > Then, relaunch the Line2 app
