Line2 App for Windows: Managing Voicemail and SMS Messages

Voicemail

Listen to Voicemail

  1. Launch your Line2 for Windows App
  2. Click on Voicemail under the Activities header on the left side of the app
  3. Your read and unread voicemails will populate
  4. To the right of the screen, you will be able to play your voicemail, send an SMS message, save  the voicemail or block the caller who left the voicemail.

Delete Voicemail

 

  1. Launch your Line2 for Windows App
  2. Click on Voicemail under the Activities header on the left side of the app
  3. Your read and unread voicemails will populate
  4. Right click on the voicemail
  5. Select delete selected.

 

Helpful Hint: Manually deleting a voicemail take effect immediately and cannot be undone. Voicemail messages will be automatically deleted after 180 days.


Save Voicemail

  1. Click on Voicemail
  2. Click on the VM message you want to save
  3. Click the Download button 
  4. Save the mp3 file anywhere on your computer

 

SMS Message

Send SMS Message

  • Launch the Line2 for Windows App
  • Click the New Message button
  • Click into the To:  field and enter the number or name(s) of the person(s) to whom you wish to send a text message.

Helpful Hint: Group messages are limited to 10 recipients. To send a photo, click the paper clip and browse to the .jpg or .png file you wish to send.
Names are only available if you allow Line2 to sync with your Outlook or Google contacts 

  • Type your message

Helpful Hint: If you have a Toll Free Number, group and photo messaging to non-Line2 numbers is currently not supported.

  • Click Send

Receive SMS Message

To receive text messages on your Line 2 App for Windows, make sure you are logged into your app and connected to the internet.
Your new text messages will appear under your activities and messages tabs.

Delete SMS Message

  • Go into your messages screen 
  • Right click on the text message you wish to delete. 
  • Navigate to Delete Selected.

Helpful Hint: Deleting a message cannot be undone or recovered.

Delete Entire SMS Message Thread

  • Right click on the conversation in the message screen 
  • Select Delete All From.
