iOS: Manage Voicemail and SMS Messages

Use the Line2 app on your iPhone to listen to and manage voicemail messages, send and receive text messages, share photos, and delete conversations.

Manage Voicemail

Voicemail messages are available from the Calls section of the Line2 app.

Listen to a Voicemail

1. Open the Line2 app.
2. Tap Calls.
3. Tap Voicemail.
4. Select the voicemail you want to hear.
5. Tap Play.

Call Back from a Voicemail

1. Open the voicemail message.
2. Tap the Phone icon.
3. The Line2 app will place a call to the sender.

Email a Voicemail

You can send a voicemail recording as an email attachment.

1. Open the voicemail message.
2. Tap the Envelope icon.
3. Enter the recipient's email address.
4. Add a subject and optional message.
5. Tap Send.

Delete a Voicemail

1. Open the voicemail message.
2. Tap the Trash icon.
3. Confirm the deletion if prompted.

Important: Deleted voicemails cannot be recovered.

Voicemail Retention: Voicemail messages are automatically removed after 180 days.

Send and Receive SMS Messages

Line2 allows you to send and receive SMS text messages using your Line2 number.

Send a Text Message

1. Open the Line2 app.
2. Tap Messages.
3. Tap the Compose icon or open an existing conversation.
4. Search for and select a contact.
5. Tap Send a Message.
6. Enter your message.
7. Tap Send.

Send a Photo

1. Open a conversation.
2. Tap the Paperclip icon.
3. Select a JPG or PNG image from your device.
4. Tap Send.

Keep in Mind:  If you have a Toll Free Number, group and photo messaging to non-Line2 numbers is currently not supported.

Messaging Notes

• Group messages support up to 10 recipients.
• Toll-free numbers do not support group messaging.
• Toll-free numbers cannot send photo messages to non-Line2 numbers.

Receive SMS Messages

To receive messages successfully, ensure that:

• Your device is connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data.
• The Line2 app is installed and Setup correctly.
• Notifications are enabled for Line2.
• Your Line2 account is active.

Delete Messages and Conversations

You can remove individual messages or entire conversation threads from the Messages section.

Delete a Single Message

1. Open Messages.
2. Open the conversation containing the message.
3. Swipe right-to-left on the message.
4. Tap Delete.

Delete an Entire Conversation

1. Open Messages.
2. Locate the conversation you want to remove.
3. Swipe right-to-left on the conversation thread.
4. Tap Delete.

Important: Deleting messages or conversations permanently removes them from the app.
