While you are on a call using the Line2 app, you can use several in-call options to manage your conversation, add participants, adjust audio settings, and more.
Mute
The Mute option turns off your microphone so the other person cannot hear you.
To mute/unmute your call:
- Tap the Mute button during an active call.
- Tap it again to turn your microphone back on.
Note: You will still be able to hear the other person while muted.
Add Call
The Add Call option allows you to add another person to your current call.
To add a participant:
- Tap Add Call during an active call.
- Select a contact or enter a phone number.
- Start the second call.
- Tap Merge to combine the calls into a conference call.
You can add up to 20 participants to a conference call by adding them one at a time.
Hold
The Hold option temporarily pauses the call.
When a call is placed on hold:
- Your microphone is muted.
- Your speaker is disabled.
- Neither participant can hear the other until the call is resumed.
To place a call on hold:
- Tap Hold during the call.
- Tap Hold again to resume the conversation.
Transfer
The Transfer option allows you to send your active call to another phone number.
To transfer a call:
- Tap Transfer during an active call.
- Enter the phone number you want to transfer the call to.
- Complete the transfer.
Keypad
The Keypad option displays the dial pad during a call.
Use the keypad to:
- Enter extensions.
- Respond to automated phone menus (IVR systems).
- Dial additional numbers.
Merge
The Merge option combines multiple active calls into a conference call.
To merge calls:
- Start or answer a second call using Add Call.
- Once both calls are connected, tap Merge.
Note: The Merge option is only available when two calls are active.
