Android: Manage Calls

Use the Line2 Android app to make and receive calls, manage call forwarding, screen callers, sync contacts, and manage your call history. 

Place a Call via Contacts:

Call a Contact

  1. Open the Contacts tab.
  2. Find the contact you want to call by:
    • Scrolling through your contacts list, or
    • Tapping the Search icon and entering the contact's name.
  3. Tap the contact's name.
  4. Tap the phone number you want to call.

Return a Call:

  1. Open the Calls tab.
  2. Locate the contact or phone number in your recent call history.
  3. Tap the call log entry to place a call.

Dial a Number

  1. Open the Calls tab.
  2. Tap Keypad.
  3. Enter the phone number.
  4. Tap the Call button.


Manage Incoming Calls

Enable Do Not Disturb 

When Do Not Disturb is enabled, all incoming calls are sent directly to voicemail.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Call Handling.
  3. Turn on Do Not Disturb.

Forward All Calls

Use this option when you do not want incoming calls to ring in the Line2 app. Calls will follow your call forwarding settings.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Call Handling.
  3. Select Incoming Calls.
  4. Tap Forwarding.

Call Screening

Enable Call Screening

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Call Handling.
  3. Select Incoming Calls.
  4. Turn on Screening.

Screen Calls by Caller Type

  1. Open Caller Type Groups.
  2. Select the caller type you want to manage.
  3. Choose your preferred screening behavior.

Call Forwarding

Add a Forwarding Number

  1. Open Settings > Call Handling > Incoming Calls > Forwarding.
  2. Tap Add a Number.
  3. Enter the forwarding number.
  4. Tap OK.
  5. Tap Save.

 

Edit a Forwarding Number

  1. Select the forwarding number.
  2. Update the number.
  3. Tap OK.
  4. Tap Save.

Edit a Call Forwarding Number:

  1. Tap on the phone number you want to Edit
  2. Make Appropriate Changes
  3. Tap Ok
  4. Click Save

Delete a Forwarding Number

  1. Select the forwarding number.
  2. Tap the Menu icon.
  3. Tap Delete Number.
  4. Tap Yes to confirm.


Manage Contacts

Sync Device Contacts

  1. Open the Contacts tab.
  2. Tap Add My Contacts.
  3. Tap OK.
  4. If prompted, tap Allow to grant access to your contacts.


Note: Line2 uses your device's contacts. To add or edit contacts, use your phone's native Contacts app. 

Block or Unblock Callers

Block a Caller

  1. Open the Calls tab.
  2. Touch and hold the phone number.
  3. Tap Block.
  4. Tap Block again to confirm.

Unblock Caller 

  1. Go to Calls
  2. Tap and hold the number 
  3. Tap unblock
  4. A prompt will pop up, tap unblock 

Manage Call History

Delete a Single Call

  1. Open the Calls tab.
  2. Locate the call you want to remove.
  3. Tap the More Options menu for that call.
  4. Tap Delete.

Important: Deleted call history cannot be recovered. 

Delete All Call History

  1. Open the Calls tab.
  2. Tap the Menu icon.
  3. Tap Clear Call Log.
  4. Tap Yes to confirm.
