How to send a group text message?
- Launch your Line2 App on your mobile device
- Select Messages on the bottom navigation bar
- On the top left corner, select the icon that looks like a notepad
- The new message screen will appear
- In the To: field select the contacts you would like to add your message ( at this time, group messages are limited to 10 recipients)
- - In the box labeled Text Message enter the content you would like to send to your recipients.
- - You can use the paper clip icon to send your location and/or send a photo.
- - Press Send when all information and recipients have been entered.
Toll Free Numbers cannot send group text messages. Why?
Toll Free numbers have limitations when sending SMS/MMS messages:
- You can send messages to up to 10 recipients but it will not be a group message. Instead, the message will be sent out as individual messages to each of your recipients.
- You can send photos (recipients will be sent a link to the photo)
- You will not be able to receive any MMS (multimedia or group) messages.
Why can I only send group messages to up to 10 recipients?
Half of the major cellular carriers in the US do not support more than 10 recipients in group messaging. To ensure a seamless experience with all mobile carriers, we have opted to do the same.
What photo file types are supported?
.JPG and .PNG
Can I send MMS to international numbers?
No, international MMS is not supported at this time.
I have a US Local number and cannot send/receive MMS, why?
Your number may be in a service area that does not support MMS. Please Contact Customer Support if you continue to have issues.
I have a Toll Free number and cannot send/receive MMS, why?
