An E911 (Enhanced 911) address helps emergency services identify your location if you place a 911 call using your Line2 number.

Adding an accurate E911 address is important to ensure emergency responders receive the correct location information during an emergency.

Before You Begin

Make sure you have:

  • A valid physical street address
  • The correct apartment, suite, or unit number (if applicable)
  • Access to your Line2 account

Important

  • E911 addresses must be physical locations.
  • PO Boxes cannot be used as E911 addresses.
  • The address must accurately reflect the location where emergency services would be dispatched.
  • Address validation may be required before the address can be saved. E911 systems commonly validate addresses against emergency service databases.

Add or Update Your E911 Address

  1. Sign in to your Line2 account.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Select E911 Address or Emergency Address.
  4. Enter your address information:
    • Street Address
    • Apartment or Suite Number (optional)
    • City
    • State/Province
    • ZIP/Postal Code
  5. Review the information for accuracy.
  6. Select Save or Submit.

Verify Your Address

After saving:

  1. Confirm that the address appears correctly in your account settings.
  2. Wait for the address registration process to complete.
  3. If your account displays a status indicator, verify that the address shows as active or registered.

Address registration can take several minutes to complete depending on the validation process.
